Detailed Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals who are seeking a career in customer service to join our already highly successful team.

The objective of a Service Care Consultant is to retain customers through regular contact in relation to service, maintenance and MOT work requirements and optimise customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving incoming calls from customers to make service/MOT bookings, update customer details, handle a complaint or provide advice.
  • Recording all information gathered onto the system and advises departments of customers booked and any issues raised.
  • Making calls to aftersales customers.
  • Enters all relevant calls, opportunities and bookings made onto the relevant computer system.
  • Provide a positive customer experience at all times.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English at grade C or above desirable but not essential.

Skills required

  • An interest in everything automotive
  • Excellent people skills
  • Organised

Personal Qualities

  • Polite, calm and approachable persona
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have flexible ‘can do’ approach

Additional Information

Training provided

Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service (framework).

This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated an assessor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.

Once you commence at the Retailer, further induction training will be supplied by the Retailer. You will also receive visits and other training from the Learning Skills Partnership representative. Please be aware that the wage will vary dependent on age, please see below further details. 16 - £4 per hour , 17 - £4.71 per hour, 18 - £5.55 per hour, 19 - £6.07 per hour, 20 - £6.37 per hour, 21+ year old - £6.95 per hour
