This is a fabulous opportunity to undertake a Hospitality Apprenticeship with Elior an award-winning contract catering company, you will be paid NMW to the age of the successful applicant.16-17=£4.05 Per Hour =£121.50 per week18-20=£5.60 Per Hour =£168.00 per week21-24= £7.05 Per Hour=£211.50 per weekThis Apprentice Commis Chef role has arisen at one of our long serving sites with a well-known client in our B&I division. With up to 2200 daily customers on site this is a busy site that demands exemplary service standards.As Apprentice Commis Chef you will• Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect of COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures.•Support manager in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.•Be responsible for maintaining up to date product and menu knowledge, and maintaining a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control.•Be responsible for collecting and checking deliveries as required and placing them in the appropriate storage areas.•Be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness of all areas in the kitchen and of equipment.•Provide support to other members of the kitchen and front of house team as required.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Commis Chef Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Commis Chef Apprenticeship standardApprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English. Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role. Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
