The Loddon Swan are seeking highly motivated individual to add to our AA Rosettes establisment to work alongside the ambitious kitchen team.The successful applicant will be creatively minded with passion and respect for the provenance of food and locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Someone who relishes the pressure of the kitchen environment, ensuring standards are met and maintained. The successful candidate will perform many basic tasks of food preparation to start with and have a natural flair for cooking. As an Apprentice Chef you will be expected to learn the dishes as shown to you, to the standard set by the head chef, at this stage of your career it is understood that you are still learning. You will remain calm while multi-tasking, as he or she will often be called upon to carry out many different duties simultaneously in a brief amount of time. This is a full-time position with great development possibilities for the right individual who is looking for a career not just a job. •Be responsible for maintaining up to date product and menu knowledge, and maintaining a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control.Willing to learn, good hand eye co-ordination, need to be clean, good time keeping, keen to improve and learn. Be confident, willing to learn, able to multi-task. Knowledge of working in a busy kitchen and cooking experience would be an advantage.Good time keeping and organizational skills also be enthusiastic and have a keen interest in food and the hospitality industry. Honest and reliable.•Support with collecting and checking deliveries as required and placing them in the appropriate storage areas.•Be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness of all areas in the kitchen and of equipment.•Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect of COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with proceduresAs an Apprentice you will be included on a Professional Cookery Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
