Description

Lilian Faithful Homes are offering an exciting opportunity to work within their kitchen’s, to gain culinary skills and to also complete an Apprenticeship Programme whilst working as an Apprentice Chef at their different homes. You will be assisting the other chef’s in the day to day preparing, cooking and serving of food, catering for residents with varying dietary requirements and needs. Full training will be given to the successful applicant. Whilst completing the above, you will have to adhere to strict Health, Hygiene and Safety requirements.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Professional Cookery Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Good communication skills but all kitchen based experience and training will be provided to the successful applicant, have empathy towards the residents as this is there home.
None required but must complete Maths and English Functional Skills.
Aside from the practical experience gained, ProfessionalCookery Level 2Apprentices will learn how to prepare and cook a large range of dishes whilst also demonstrating bothhigh food hygiene standards, knife techniques and the use of a range of other kitchen tools and theability to work safely and effectively within the kitchen team.
Hard working, good time keeping, reliable, honest, trustworthy and keen to learn.
To gain experience working in a care home kitchen, with a view to further training.This position could potentially lead to a permanent position.On going training & development, this is an excellent opportunity to undertake a Professional Cookery qualification with an Award Winning Learning Provider.
