A fantastic opportunity has become available at The Blue Vinny to join the team as an apprentice.As an Apprentice Chef you will work with the team to carry out the following:• Work under direction of the senior chefs undertaking instructions efficiently• Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high quality standards.• Perform tasks within a timely manner.• Contribute to effective food cost control.• Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines.• Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination.• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.• Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues.• Comply with restaurant security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation.• Meet all health and hygiene requirements.• Some washing up duties will also be expected.You will be required to work your way up from small prep and cleaning duties to eventually preparing meals yourself.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Cookery Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
