Description

Avon and Wessex Motor Factors is a distributor of car components and accessories. We are looking for a warehouse worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities duties will include; • Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup;• Receiving and processing warehouse stock products;• Performing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high;• storing products, picking and packing orders (The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction);• Report any discrepancies;• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers;• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation;• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment;• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Warehousing & Storage Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Good organisational and time management skills. Basic computer skills. Good numeracy and hand writing skills.
A minimum of five GCSE’s grades C or above, or equivalent, include Maths, English Language.
Intermediate Diploma in Warehousing & Storage
Communication skills. Honesty. Good work ethic. Flexibility. Takes pride in their work. Determination and persistence. Ability to work well with co-workers. Eager and willing to add to their knowledge base and skills
Following the completion of this apprenticeship the candidate may have the opportunity of joining the sales department as an Apprentice Parts person and gain skills in telesales, customer service and retailing in the Automotive aftermarket.
