We are looking for enthusiastic Apprentice Café Assistant to join our team at the Green Welly Café!Your duties will include: •Meeting and greeting customers. •Taking food and drink orders.•Building relationships with customers. •Preparation of drinks. •Serving food and drinks. •Cash and Card handling. •Understanding our menus and products. •General duties – setting up/closing service. •Cleaning dutiesApprenticeship Highlights• You will gain a nationally recognised qualification in Food and Beverage Service. As part of your Apprenticeship you will recieve:• Full support with training and development will be provided to prepare the candidate for the next step in their hospitality career. • The role of Apprentice Cafe Assistant is to take orders, serve food and drinks, taking payments of card or cash, ensuring the cafe is kept as clean as possible and preparing drinks.• You will receive onsite training with an award winning training provider• Learn life skillsWhat are we looking for?• Somebody who is reliable and career driven• Somebody who can work under their own initiative• Somebody able to work different shiftsYour learning and Development will be supported by your own Vocational Learning Advisor who will guide you throughout your Apprenticeship.Babcock is an award winning training provider.

Must be:• Good with customers• Keen to learn new skills• Able to work within a team• Able to use initiative
No specific qualifications required as full training is to be provided, however basic maths and English skills are desirable.
Aside from the practical experience gained, you will also work towards a nationally recognised qualification. This is a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Food and Beverage Services.
