Do you have a passion for food?Do you want to join our talented team of Chefs?In order to grow our own talent we are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Chefs Academy. We are seeking Apprentice Chefs looking to gain a recognised qualification in NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery. * Gain experience whilst working in a real life working kitchen * No experience necessary - Full training and support will be given * Work closely and be supported by an experienced Head Chef Key responsibilities of the role include:• Preparing and cooking menu’s whether it be breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner• Being able to read recipes and prepare and cook dishes to company standard• Being able to move around and be trained in all sections of the kitchen• Have a high standard of work practice and hygiene, and comply with health & safety standards• Ensure minimum food wastage and maintain strict portion controlYour learning and Development will be supported by your own Vocational Learning Advisor who will guide you throughout your Apprenticeship. To be successful in this role you need to be a good listener, confident communicator and able to follow instructions.
No specific qualifications are required, however basic maths and English skills are required.
You will gain a recognised qualification in NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery.
You must be passionate about cooking, food and the catering industry, flexible, friendly and enthusiastic
There is a possibility of a permanent position upon successful completion of this apprenticeship.
