At In the Bag we provide a six-day comprehensive take-away service including breakfast in a box, French flour baguettes, sandwiches, wraps, panini, toasted sandwiches, jacket potatoes, pasties, fresh choose your own salads, home-made cakes and tray bakes. We also provide regular daily & seasonal specials such as home-made soups, hot roast rolls, giant fish fingers, pulled pork and spicy meatball baguettes. All freshly made and filled to your individual taste and requirements. Anything from Marmite on toast to the sky’s the limit! In addition we make & serve locally hand roasted barista coffees and other hot and cold drinks, all from our shop in Chard, South Somerset. Each weekday we send out a hot & cold delivery van service to local businesses and offer daily deliveries of business buffet lunches. We also cater for buffet style events both large and small, anything from an intimate cream tea to a wedding reception or family party and can provide full service and waiting staff if required. We have had excellent feedback for providing imaginative vegetarian and vegan menus.

It is the perfect opportunity for an individual who is interested in the Hospitality industry and would like to further their career in this field.Duties will include:• Basic food preparation; both hot and cold• Opening and closing checks• Serving customers;• Taking orders • Process cash and card payments;• Stock Control• Clearing Tables• Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the Kitchen and dining areaYou will learn both sides of the business, both service and food preparation and how each affects the other As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
We are looking for a confident and outgoing individual, who has Initiative and is Physically fit.
Must be Punctual, clean and tidy, with no facial piercings in line with food safety regulations articulate and outgoing. You will need a good sense of humour, and be able to interact with customers.
There is a Possibility of a position at the site on completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate
