The Midway Truck Shop are looking for someone to join their hospitality team! You will be working as part of the kitchen team to assist the main cook, who is responsible for preparing and cooking. You will also ensure that the work area is kept as clean as possible at all times. This is a busy and fast paced environment where you’ll learn the basics and more of a commercial kitchen.Your responsibilities will include:• Maintaining a high level of hygiene and work in a safe manner at all times.• Ensuring basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible. • Plating a range of starters, sandwiches and side dishes.• Washing, peeling and cutting a range of vegetables on a daily basis.• Assisting to serve meals• Learning to produce different items on the menu.• Learning about food safety.• Cleaning down the kitchen after service.• Assisting with receiving of deliveries, putting stock away promptly.• Working effectively as part of the kitchen team and keep in communication with your colleagues.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member qualification specialising in Food Production. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship.
