Description
We are seeking an Apprentice Kitchen Assistant to add to our kitchen team to work at Crown Inn. You will perform many basic tasks of food preparation to start with and have a natural flair for cooking. To prepare and cook food to the high standard required by the Chef. To assist the Chef with the stock management of all ingredients. To help with unloading and safe storage of ingredients and to prepare raw ingredients to a high standard. To assist with the washing of all pots, crockery, cutlery, utensils and pans to a high standard, ensuring they are stored in the correct place and in a tidy manner. To help cater for events held at the hotel such as weddings, functions, parties, etc. Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect of COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures. You will also be required to keep up-to-date with all Apprenticeship work, and to have regular meetings (every 4-6 weeks) with the Vocational Learning Advisor to discuss your work.As an Apprentice you will be included on a Food Production and Cooking Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
