We are looking for someone who is out for a unique experience that will gain skills in both business admin and Medicines/Healthcare.

Each of our pharmacies offers a traditional NHS dispensing service which include a full collection and delivery service. We will collect your prescription for you from your GP and then, when necessary, deliver it right to your door.

The office work will relate to general administration work and includes account management and incorporates aspects of pharmacy regulation and business continuity.
The Pharmacy work will relate face-to-face contact with our patients and providing an outstanding level of care. The right candidate will become knowledgeable in all aspects of over the counter medicines and be familiar with the legal aspects of pharmacy.

Working week: Monday to Friday 9am-6pm 40 hours per week. Total hours per week: 35.00
Things to consider: Successful apprentice will start on Apprenticeship Minimum Wage £3.50 an hour and you will have a 12 week review to a pay rise.
GCSE grace A*-C in English and Maths. Basic computer skills are needed.
The right candidate must be outgoing and not afraid to ask questions. Work well within a small team and have great interpersonal skills as they are dealing with people’s medicine.
The chosen candidate will attain a National Pharmaceutical Association recognised accreditation as a Medicines Counter Assistant enabling them to sell medicines within a Pharmacy setting with competence. They will also gain practical skills in IT and Business Administration and have yearly performance reviews relating to pay rises.
The position will include on going in-house training, mentoring and support in order to be able to carry out the duties required as part of the role. This is in addition to completing a full apprenticeship in Customer Service at Level 2, which includes NVQ Diploma, Technical Certificate in Principles of Customer Service, Functional Skills and Employer Rights and Responsibilities. You will also develop your IT skills in Excel, Word and Social Media.
