Description
Apprentice Commis Chef required to work at The Prestigious Hotel and Restaurant, The Granary. Working along side top chefs and gaining valuable experience in a busy environment. Duties will include preparation of fresh food, Vegetable preparation, stock rotation, bread and pastry making cooking , serving, this is a front facing role so must be smart and presentable.You will complete a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship standards qualification, this is aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment. Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training, this will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English. They will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.

Must be able to follow instructions, to be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Good listening skills, must be enthusiastic about the role.
No qualifications needed, full training and induction will be given. Must complete Maths and English Functional Skills to start Apprenticeship.

Must be polite, a good time keeper, to be able to use common sense, a willingness to learn, Personal hygiene is essential.
