International Showjumping yard has a vacancy for an apprentice to join their friendly and highly successful yard. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Show jumping and be happy to groom away at competitions. There will be weekly riding lessons on offer for this position.

Detailed Job Description

All general yard duties-

Mucking out

Tack cleaning

Riding based on ability

Grooming at competitions

Sweeping the yard

Paddock maintenance

Helping with regular clinics and adult riding camps.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English

Skills required

Some experience with horses is necessary for this position and ideally a competent rider or someone that has their own horse and wants to compete it.

Personal Qualities

The ideal candidate will be keen and willing to learn, able to work using their own initiative and have a passion for showjumping.

Future prospects

Full time employment upon completion of apprenticeship.

Training provided

Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.

Accommodation available and own horse possible.
