Description

We’re a small, friendly, family run Centre and have established a strong reputation across the area. We’ve done this through our caring and professional approach to both horse and rider.

The Centre is British Horse Society Approved & Pony Club Centre teaching riders of all ages and abilities. We specialise in training and preparation for College NVQ Diplomas, BHS, GCSE, Horse Owners, Progressive Riding Tests examinations, and The Riding Disabled. Welfare and education are our by-words.

Everyone is welcome at the Centre whether you’re a complete beginner or an accomplished rider we know you’ll have a rewarding experience with us.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Experience with horses would be beneficial. Please include all knowledge and experience within application form.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training provided through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training
Successful candidate will be hard working, positive attitude and keen to succeed withing the equine industry
Possibility of Level 3 Horse Care Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2 Horse Care Apprenticeship
