Description
Exciting opportunity to work as part of a family run business. You will work as part of the kitchen team, assisting the chefs and learning to cook. Your duties will include basic food preparation, housekeeping, kitchen paperwork such as temperature checks and cleaning schedules. You will take orders from the waiting staff in the café and restaurant area and support the kitchen team to deliver the meals efficiently. You will be trained with fresh food produce, American-Italian style. This is a great opportunity if you see your future as a chef.Role Highlights- Preparation of food items in compliance with standard recipes. - Maintain and record temperature control of food items throughout the holding, cooking and serving process. - Correct storage and rotation of all food items. - Report defects or maintenance faults to kitchen supervisory team. - Keep working areas and surfaces clean and tidy. - Methods of cooking and presentation are used to maintain the highest standards of production and service. - Follow health and safety policy and procedures and be aware of individual responsibilities under legislation. - Undertake personal development and/or refresher training as necessary to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge - Maintain high standards of personal and general food hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen and associated areas. Apprenticeship Highlights- You will gain a nationally recognised qualification in Kitchen Services at Level 2.
