· Installing new IT systems · Communicate with and serve customers · Manually examine and repair computer hardware and peripheral components. · Test functionality and assess problems by operating computer systems or related. · Troubleshoot computer systems problems. · Take apart and re-assemble computer components and parts. · Use small handheld tools such as screwdrivers, voltmeters, etc. · Manually set up computer systems and hardware, and install or re-install software programs for computer users. · Work with colleagues (e.g., other computer repair and maintenance technicians) to resolve computer-related problems (troubleshooting). · Read and review technical support manuals or other materials.
5 GCSEs including English, Maths and ICT at A-C grade
After the Apprentices have completed their programme of study, they will be given the opportunity to apply for a full-time position if there is a vacancy in the same company / other companies, or they may apply for an Advanced Apprenticeship / Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) or to a University.

The Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence will enable you to enter the field IT with the vital experience that is so necessary today’s world, you will also have an experienced Apprentice Advisor who will be on hand to support you. You will also meet amazing people that you can learn so much from! Including: industry leaders, ICT Experts and fellow apprentices The following training and qualifications will be provided to each candidate: Level 3 Diploma in IT Professional Competence (City & Guilds) Level 3 Certificate in IT Systems and Principles (City & Guilds) MTA/CompTIA A+ & CompTIA N+ Day Release. (The Apprentice can work four days per week and attend training for one day every week at the training centre for a minimum of twelve months). Assessment will be carried out by an assessor over the duration of the programme through visiting the candidate.
