Description

The candidate must be a competent and confident rider as the horses are fit competition horses. Someone that is hard working and passionate is required and there will be opportunity available to do your BHS Stages should you wish.

All general yard duties such as:

  • Mucking out
  • Grooming
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Clipping, plaiting, trimming, bathing, pulling
  • Feeding
  • Haying/watering
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Must be experienced with horses
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full Training through the Equine Apprenticeships supported by Haddon Training
friendly, hard working, experienced and reliable and a willingness to learn new skills
A possible chance to progress onto L3 or a full time position on completion
