Many of the companies SOS currently supply have been loyal customers since 2000 and have worked in close partnership across SOS’s various divisions.

Detailed Job Description

The daily duties the apprentice may undertake in their day to day practices are, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Providing support and dealing with customers who visit reception
  • Be responsible for administrative tasks to ensure reception runs smoothly.
  • Communicating internally and externally, via telephone, email and face to face communication
  • Assisting with other areas of the business, if required.
  • Assisting with candidate sourcing and some screening
  • Follow instructions and tasks delegated to you and complete them in a timely and accurate manner.

The working week will be Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

A* to C grades are preferred but are not essential and no specific qualifications are required as full training will be given in the apprenticeship.

  • Be able to learn quickly and adapt processes to fit an ever changing work environment
  • Apply yourself to learn the company systems and how it works

Future prospects

Upon completion of the Level 2 qualification, the option to complete a level 3 customer service may be on offer for the right candidate.

Customer Service Apprenticeships include the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service,
  • Functional Skills in Maths & English,
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities,
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.

All training will be delivered in the work place with no requirement for day release to college. You will be mentored by experienced members of staff while developing your skills to a nationally recognised industry standard.

The current Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW) is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. PLEASE NOTE – candidates who meet the employer’s criteria will be put forward for interview as soon as possible, this means that the vacancy could be filled before the advertised closing date.
