Detailed Job Description

Colmar Construction dealing with the high end and exclusive property development market have an opportunity for an astute and well organised individual to join us. Main Duties will include the following: Answering and directing telephone calls to correct departments and dealing with emails in a professional manner Data entry of sales orders and purchase requests and spreadsheets Research, and website content management and updates Sourcing components and finding alternative sources where required working 2 days with Accounts and 3 days with our Office Administrator Greeting visitors and scheduling meetings and managing team diaries Covering the calls and diaries for team members when off site and prioritising communications to them Off the Job Training may require you to shadow our staff off site and meet suppliers Specialist knowledge and skills within our industry will be gained through on the job training, though you will be expected to have some business administration and customer service experience that you wish to build to a professional level. Training complements that received in workshops at college, which will lead to the appropriate qualification. The application of the specialist knowledge and skills will depend on the stage that the employee has reached in his/her training. You will be required to follow and apply rules such as data, compliance regulations, guidelines, instructions and procedures and be aware of legalities. Interpersonal skills: Communication with other staff in receiving instructions and in advising of work carried out. Therefore ability to relate well to all levels would become more important as the apprenticeship progresses. This role is Advanced and a professional level of business behaviours and courtesy reflecting a good image of yourself and our business is expected .

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

  • A*-C GCSE or equivalent English,
  • Maths Desirable
  • ICT skills plus 3 additional GCSEs or equivalent grade A*-C.
  • Previous Level 2 Business Administration or Customer Service NVQ or Apprenticeship is desirable BTEC Business Studies or Computing `A `level also is desirable.
  • A knowledge or awareness of the construction industry also.

  • A good English Grade in Literature aswell as Language is desirable.

  • Good written/verbal communication skills especially phone and computer
  • IT and Communications equipment knowledge
  • Natural problem solver
  • Customer Service and Organisational skills
  • Good people skills with a genuine interest of working in Customer Services /Finance environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with English grammar

Additional Information

Training provided

The successful candidate will undertake an Advanced Apprenticeship Business Administrator standard at Level 3 The training will be carried out by Brockenhurst College in the workplace however they may have to attend college for a minimum of up to 5 days per year.

  • Business and Administration Standard RQF Diploma Level 3 for Knowledge with End Point Assessment- Highfield
  • Functional Skills in English, Maths and IT to Level 2
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Full off the job training with the employer in their policies and process, mentoring and coaching

Training will be included in your contracted hours agreed that makes up the working week.
