A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
When your Apprenticeship is complete you will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, you can continue within your job at Barchester and enjoy an increase in your salary. If you wish to do so, you can also continue with further training and development. We offer full training and ongoing professional development to all our staff. There is no limit to how far you can go at Barchester – many of our Care Assistants move into a Senior Care, or Care Practitioner role, the highest level of Care Assistant within Barchester. You can even move into a career in nursing. We have courses that are designed to help you make a difference to our residents’ lives, to promote your understanding of clinical issues, and to develop your own career pathway and ensure that you feel confident in all aspects of your role.
Training to be provided includes: Knowing the job you have to do, your main tasks and responsibilities. Demonstrating the right values and behaviours, maintaining the dignity of individuals. Supporting individuals to remain safe from harm (safeguarding).Championing health and wellbeing for the individuals they support and work colleagues. Working professionally.
Salary could be more dependant on age and experience.
