Highgate Surgery are looking to take on apprentice to support the practice in carrying out day to day administrative and reception duties.
Birmingham Cross City Clinical Commissioning Group has the fourth largest population of all clinical commissioning groups in England. We are clinically led and are responsible for commissioning health services for our patients and improving health across Birmingham.
Possible Start Date: 05/03/2018

The post holder will also be expected to cover reception in the event of staff absence or annual leave, this includes covering early starts. The position is suitable for someone who wishes to demonstrate initiative and develop their own skills.

The post-holder should recognise the importance of effective communication within the team and will:
Most instruction and communication of activity will be via the practice manager or practice administrator. External communication will be with patients, Clinical Commissioning Groups and other NHS bodies, and other GP practices and service providers.
GCSE A-D grade in English and Maths or equivalent.
Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship program, you will be considered for full time, permanent employment. There will also be opportunities to take your career further through additional higher level training within the NHS.
Depending on your current qualifications, you may be required to complete the following:
You will be working within the front line services of the GP Practice and will need to be professional, confident and polite to all visitors and staff within the service. Working hours can start from 7am.
