Detailed Job Description

The role for a Business Administration Apprenticeship will include, but is not limited to;

  • Assisting the team with all general administrative tasks
  • Data input & scanning
  • Filing documents and paperwork
  • Handling inbound calls
  • First point of contact for candidates and clients
  • Transferring calls/ taking messages
  • Keeping all company data up to date
  • Using the in house system on a daily basis

The working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 09:00 to 17:30

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

A* to C grades at GCSE is preferred, but not essential as full training will be given.

Skills required

  • To be computer literate
  • To be able to work on your own occasionally as well as in a team
  • To have strong communication skills and be able to communicate on different levels, both internally and externally, via the telephone, emails and face to face communication
  • To be organised and prioritise workloads
  • To be able to handle sensitive data and be confidential

Personal Qualities

  • To be smart and presentable at all times
  • To be willing and enthusiastic at all times with the tasks asked to complete
  • Take full advantage of any training and development courses offered.

Once you have completed your level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship, BOHSA are keen to provide you with as many progression options as possible that suit you personally.

Our Personal Tutors will deliver outstanding teaching and learning to help ENERGISE you to complete your apprenticeship training and leave you confident to EXECUTE tasks to the highest standard.With this apprenticeship you will complete the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Business & Administration,
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT,
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities,
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.

All training will be delivered in the work place with no requirement for day release to college. You will be mentored by experienced members of staff while developing your skills to a nationally recognised industry standard.

The current Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW) is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. PLEASE NOTE – candidates who meet the employer’s criteria will be put forward for interview as soon as possible, this means that the vacancy could be filled before the advertised closing date.
