Description

We offer a state of the art facility adjoining beautiful rural bridleways, situated in one the most attractive locations in the South West and we are able to offer both full and competition livery to include all bedding, haylage and hard feed, flexible to meet the needs of both you and your horse.

Our facilities include 50 acres of onsite hacking with direct access to hours of bridleways, grass gallops, a floodlit 25m x 60m all-weather arena with course of show jumps and dressage markers and much, much more!

Our riding stables are fully maintained and the health and wellbeing of both our horses and visitors is paramount.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Experience with horses would be beneficial

Must be able to work towards Functional Skills Level 1 or higher in maths and English
Full training provided through the equine apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training
Successful candidate will be hard working and keen to succeed within the equine industry
Possibility of Level 3 Horse Care Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2
