Detailed Job Description

Our client is seeking a proficient Administrator who possesses effective and professional communication skills to start immediately. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop as a case administrator within a Criminal Justice setting. You Must be aged 18 or over due to contact service users.

Successful candidates would be expected too;

  • Provide an effective administrative service to the teams, planning and organising own work schedule in order to contribute to the overall performance of the team.
  • Produce documents to a high specification. Maintain case records in accordance with the standards required by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Community Rehabilitation Company.
  • Input accurate and timely data into Case Record systems.
  • Assist with Officer diary management, prompting Officers of critical dates in caseload to assist in achieving performance targets. To be central point of contact for service users, colleagues and other agencies on behalf of Officers.
  • Effectively process incoming and outgoing mail. Provide an effective and efficient reception and telephone enquiry service to KSSCRC users, covering for Receptionists where required.
  • Operate office equipment and receive and transmit information using different modes of communication.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Has held a position of authority at school or college OR undertaken work experience or work place experience. Has Maths and English Grade C or equivalent.

Skills required

Excellent all round IT skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, Intranet, databases). Able to prioritise work effectively, be organised and have an ability to multi-task. Basic knowledge of Health & Safety in an office environment Numerate and literate with the ability to handle and reconcile cash. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Able to work on own initiative with adequate training and support.#

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Flexible and calm approach to work.

Training provided

City and Guilds full Framework level 2 & 3 QCF apprenticeship, including Functional Skills (Numeracy and Literacy) and full Technical Certificate, employer and employee rights and responsibilities, personal learning and thinking. All training and assessments delivered on employer site.
