Owned and run by John Copleston Phoenix Classic Cars since 2014 the name has been around for a while.John worked along side Phoenix’s previous owner Roger Taylor for many years, As Roger got to the stage of wanting to reduce his workload and working hours John and Martyn (John’s son) set about the take over of Phoenix Classic Cars. Predominantly a MG specialist from your MG Midget to MG B’s we are used to all breeds of Classics Cars from your home built kit cars to all types of prestigious Classics. With our substantial knowledge of Classic Cars we are happy to undertake any job from servicing, repairs, recommissioning all the way to full restorations.

Operating out of our unit in Holton Heath just outside of Poole in Dorset we have a large spares and parts collection to cater to the customers needs and have many parts suppliers on hand to help with any parts queries.

We are now looking to pass on our knowledge to the next generation of keen mechanics and deal with the older vehicleswith varying issues and in need of restoration , a varied and interesting position , that will enable you to learn everything about vehicles in the past and develop your skills even further.

While completing a L3 Motor Mechanics Apprenticeship, you will be able to learn about:

Our Personal Tutors will deliver outstanding teaching and learning to help ENERGISE you to complete your apprenticeship training and leave you confident to EXECUTE tasks to the highest standard.

With this apprenticeship you will complete the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Technical Certificate Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Principles Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.

All training will be delivered by a combination of work place training & assessment and attending one day a week at our Bournemouth campus. You will be mentored by experienced members of staff while developing your skills to a nationally recognised industry standard.

The current Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW) is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. PLEASE NOTE – candidates who meet the employer’s criteria will be put forward for interview as soon as possible, this means that the vacancy could be filled before the advertised closing date.
