Description

We are looking for a new, experienced, Apprentice to join our friendly Riding and Pony Club Centre.

We are BHS Approved and fully Insured with a BHS11 and SM (registered) instructor and a team of registered and fully qualified experienced instructors.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to train to teach, whether this be through a Level 2 or Level 3 Horse Care Apprenticeship or through BHS stages which will be incorporated into Apprenticeship.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Experienced groom and rider required
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training provided through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Successful candidate will be looking to train to teach.
Possibility of Level 3 Horse Care Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2.
No accommodation or livery available
