Detailed Job Description

Our Business Apprenticeship offers the opportunity for paid employment whilst working towards a Level 4 qualifications and a recognised Apprenticeship framework. The 24 month apprenticeship will consists of a placement schedule within the Global Supply Chain and Logistics Department

Day to day duties will include but not be limited:

  • Developing a foundation knowledge of the function and other departments across the business
  • Learning and improving personal skills, e.g. Communication, Presentation, Meeting etiquette, Time & Risk management skills
  • Business activities throughout the End to End Order to Delivery/Customer & Supplier cycle
  • OPACC (Operating Profit After Capital Charge) driven decision making
  • Customer, Production & Supplier planning
  • Logistics Planning Project work
  • Product & Manufacturing process appreciation & awareness

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

· 5 GCSEs (or academic equivalents) at Grade C/Level 4 or above.

Must include:

o Maths & English

· Plus 2 A-Levels – Grade C or above

NOTE: You can apply with predicted grades. If you’re successful at the interview stage, the job offer will be conditional on you achieving the required grades before September.

Skills required

  • Communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Organised and be able to work methodically and accurately
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • IT literate including use of Microsoft Office
