Full job description (including responsibilities)

Full-time Production Assistant (apprentice) reporting to the Senior Producers, you will be assisting a number of producers with short-form video content from creative brief right through to delivery and experiencing all aspects of the production process.

  1. General responsibilities would include assisting with equipment and crew booking, talent casting calls and booking, updating on production budgets and providing general production support onset and offset.
  2. You will also be expected to carry out some general office duties.

Working hours are 9 am to 6 pm, Monday-Friday. Salary is £10,000 - 15,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

  1. Three A-Levels at grades A*-C (or 240 UCAS points) are preferred.
  2. You will also have good knowledge of IT, including all Microsoft packages, Google doc/sheets.
  3. Ideally, we are looking for recent school leavers and non-graduates for the role.

Skills required

  1. -Very Positive / Can-do Attitude
  2. -Knowledge of short-form online content
  3. -Aware of social media platforms and video content platforms
  4. -An understanding of different departments required to produce a film
  5. -A rough knowledge of filming equipment
  6. -Ability to hit the ground running and multitask
  7. -A problem solver who is proactive, driven and ultra-organised.

Personal Qualities

  1. -Calm under pressure with very strong communications skills
  2. -Ability to work to tight deadlines, and flexibility to cope with changing priorities
  3. -Basic knowledge of Microsoft software on both Mac and PC
  4. -Understands the importance of working to a budget-Ideally knowledge around the following sectors
  5. - Universities Charities and Brands

Future prospects

A full-time opportunity may be available if the candidate excels in the role. A higher level apprenticeship available following successful completion of the initial apprenticeship, with WhiteHat.
