This is an opportunity to join the Iveco Apprentice Program as a Heavy Vehicle Technician. You will work with a dedicated Iveco dealership and receive the highest quality training at the state of the art training centre in Basildon.
Established in 1790 in London, Haynes Bros Ltd is now the holding company for a group of subsidiary companies operating throughout the South East. Moving to Kent in 1832, the Company was the first in the county to take on the Ford Motor Company franchise in 1911 and then sell and distribute the complete range of Ford cars, trucks and agricultural machinery. Today it is the only privately owned company in the UK that still distributes these range of products, albeit now with different manufacturers given Ford Motor Company’s departure from the truck and agricultural sectors. It also has the JCB agricultural franchise as well as other leading makes of farm machinery. The Company operates four subsidiary companies from seven locations in the South East.

An opportunity to become part of the Iveco Apprenticeship programme as a Heavy Vehicle Service Technician. Supported throughout by a dedicated Iveco employer, this vacancy is for a 3 year Apprenticeship that will result in the successful candidate gaining the Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification. As a Heavy Vehicle Technician you would be involved in a variety of tasks ranging from: Servicing and repairs, Replacing components Using specialist equipment such as electrical and electronic diagnostics Engine tuning equipment to measure performance Rectifying faults on customer’s vehicles in a busy Iveco workshop
GCSEs (or equivalent) grades A-C in: Maths English ICT Please ensure you list all your qualifications, as lower grades may be considered.
No specific skills required, however an interest in heavy vehicles would be beneficial.

Permanent role may be offered when apprenticeship is complete.
This is a Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by Bosch Automotive Service Solutions. Training is delivered on a block release basis at the Iveco Apprentice Training Centre in Basildon. This means your college based training will be delivered away from home and you will be required to stay in a hotel for 17 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the 3 year duration of the course. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to yourself/your parents or guardians. Assessments will also be conducted in the work place by a dedicated training assessor. As a result you will receive the following qualification: · Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Heavy Vehicle) Level 3 · Functional Skills in English & Maths (if required)
