Location: near Kennington and Oval underground stations, London.

Full job description (including responsibilities)

  1. Reporting to the Head of Creative and line-managed by the Senior Designer, the Junior Designer will focus on a portfolio of new and existing client accounts.
  2. We are looking for a keen learner who is looking to grow their skills in a busy, creative environment.
  3. Experience using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator as well as Key Note – or at least a basic understanding with a willingness to learn more.
  4. Aiding in ensuring all project procedures are correctly followed and logged
  5. Maintaining a high quality of work and standard of quality control across all projects.

Working hours are 9 am to 6 pm, Monday-Friday. Salary is £10,000 - 15,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Three A-Levels at grades A*-C (or 240 UCAS points) are preferred.You will also have good knowledge of IT, including all Microsoft packages, Google doc/sheets.Ideally, we are looking for recent school leavers and non-graduates for the role.

Skills required

  1. A passion for drawing and design with a keen interest in creative, engaging document designs and storyboards.
  2. The ambition to produce imaginative, appropriate and functional design solutions for a wide range of briefs and projects.
  3. The ability to communicate design strategy and rationale to key account stakeholders across the business.
  4. Highly creative conceptual and execution skills.

Personal Qualities

Willingness to learn to apply drawing skills to storyboarding.

Future prospects

A full-time opportunity may be available if the candidate excels in the role. A higher level apprenticeship available following successful completion of the initial apprenticeship, with WhiteHat.
