Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Apprentice Chef for Wolverhampton Wanderers, you will be working at the training ground, academy and main site.
Michael will cater for a wide range of functions, from casual finger buffet, summer BBQ and hog roast to formal fine dining 5-course feasts. If you think we should be able to do something, we most probably can!! Menus can be tailored to suit your culinary needs and advice given to ensure your event is a great success.
Duties Include:
Working as part of the catering team To ensure that all food production duties are carried out in a timely fashion
to ensure a smooth service Providing excellent customer service and building customer relationships
Overall general duties Cooking and preparing foods
Following your NVQ portfolio Work in all kitchens Work at training ground or Academy kitchens
Comply with all legal and in house regulations and procedures including HACCP Placing

Level 2 Hospitality Team Member-Food Production Apprenticeship, Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English. Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role. Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
A general all round level of positive interpersonal skills and qualities.
There is a possibility of a permanent position, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
