Detailed Job Description

Within the IT department of Stock to Go you will be responsible for website management, data input and product uploads. You will also be the main point of contact for the business via email and telephone and have general administration duties. Responsibilities will include:

  • Determining technical requirements
  • Updating products
  • Uploading products
  • Working with database software to find ways to manage data
  • Troubleshooting
  • Keeping products up to date
  • Managing database access
  • Archiving data
  • Answering phone calls
  • General administration

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GSCE or Equivalent A-D (9-4) in Maths,English and ICT

Skills required

  • Knowledge of all round IT is a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to keep upto date with product management and uploads
  • Keeping a finger on the pulse of current trends
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • The ability to see projects through from brief to production
  • Consistency regardless of project size
  • Good organisational skills that support the rest of the team
  • The willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office

Personal Qualities

  • Proactive approach to work
  • Someone that is keen on gadgets would be preferred
  • Polished IT skills will be necessary alongside learning

Additional Information

Training provided

You will work towards 2 mandatory units and choose optional units. These will be selected by both you and the employer making sure the units are relevant to the job you are undertaking. You will be working towards Level 2 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence and Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths, English and ICT. An Employment Rights & Responsibilities workbook will also be completed as well as developing Personal Learning and Thinking skills
