The suitable candidate will work in many areas, such as assisting the dentist and hygienist during all clinical procedures whilst also assisting the dentist at chairside during routine treatments, clerical duties to include reception work answering telephones and filing, and also provide support during the taking of x rays and developments of radiographs.
The successful candidate will also provide clients with suitable PPE, and further abide by Health and Safety principles.
The successful candidate will work towards achieving a level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing with experience in a busy Dental Practice.
Upon completion of the Level 3 qualification, you will be an experienced and qualified dental nurse, and as such you can continue building up skills that will always be in demand.
Career breaks and part time working are often possible. You could go on to acquire specialist Level 4 qualifications in areas such as sedation, dental radiography and oral health.
You might take on more responsibility as a trainer and assessor for other dental nurses or move into a management role within your dental practice. You could apply for a course to qualify as a dental hygienist or therapist.
