Detailed Job Description

The role would suit someone looking to learn new skills in a supportive and exciting environment.

The successful candidate will, after training:

• Under the guidance ensure Service Desk coverage by telephone, remote and desk side support.

• Under the guidance ensure the schools hardware and software functions appropriately to meet learning and teaching requirements.

•Set up ICT & Media equipment.

. Any other appropriate duties as specified by the ICT Team Leader.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GCSE English and Maths C (4) and above or Functional Skills Level 2 English and Maths.

However, if you have one of these subjects at a D (3) you can still apply but you must be prepared to undertake Functional Skills Level 2 at the Academy during your IT Apprenticeship.

Skills required

Be good at IT and / or enjoy working with computers and want to make it a career while training in an employed environment.

Perhaps be a school leaver that doesn’t feel that full time education is for them and learn better by a “hands on approach”.

Training provided

On the job training covering amongst other areas:

Service Desk coverage - telephone, remote and desk side support.

Setting up ICT & Media equipment.

In addition you will gain a Level 3 Advanced IT qualification together with 4 Microsoft MTA’s in a Microsoft Imagine Academy.
