Detailed Job Description

Tasks would include:

  • Completing the new client set up procedure and prepare paperwork for initial meeting
  • Preparing standard review and enclosure letters using Plum Software
  • Word processing
  • Requesting information from providers, chasing their responses and collating information
  • General Database maintenance
  • Scanning, management of paper and electronic filing
  • Preparing reports to facilitate write offs and invoicing and collating management information

We are a small company and all staff are required to be team players, pitching in to help with any tasks to make the business great!

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Ideally English Language and Maths GCSE at grade C or above

Skills required

They should be comfortable carrying out basic word processing with a high level of accuracy. In addition, general computer confidence is essential as they will need to learn to use our database software (although training will be given). We also require a reasonable standard of general education, in particular English and Maths.

Personal Qualities

We would look for the candidate to have common sense, good inter-personal skills and to be willing and enthusiastic to learn.

Future prospects

Potential to continue to a level 3 qualification and potentially a full time permanent position.

Additional Information

Training provided

Full on-the-job training and support will be provided to enable the successful applicant to undertake the full range of duties required of the role. All apprentices are required to complete and evidence 20% of the job learning whilst on their apprenticeship.

In addition, training will also be provided towards the Apprenticeship in Business Administration within the workplace during regular visits with a member of our dedicated team of Training Advisors.

Our Level 2 Financial Administration Apprenticeship Programme consists of the following:

  • NVQ Level 2 in providing Financial Service Administration
  • Functional Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and IT Level 2 (portfolio & test)
