Detailed Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • General administrative duties such as filing and scanning
  • Data input
  • Processing payments and purchase orders
  • Analysing and validating data
  • Monitoring student attendance
  • Working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Maintaining audit trails internally and externally
  • Reception duties including switchboard and customer service
  • You will also study to achieve your NVQ in Business Administration

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

  1. To have a good standard of education to Level 2 or at least grade D’s at GCSE
  2. Requirement to complete an NVQ Level 3 qualification

Skills required

  1. Excellent organisational skills alongside the ability to prioritise work.
  2. Ability to successfully communicate and work with colleagues at all levels with excellent teamwork skills.
  3. Ability to be creative, pro-active and self-motivated
  4. Good computer skills to include Word & Excel
  5. Ability to demonstrate competence in accurately inputting data into, and extracting data from a computerised system
  6. Willingness to contribute to improve systems
  7. A basic understanding of data protection and audit, or a desire to understand the basic principals

Personal Qualities

  1. To work flexible hours when required and on some occasions at late notice
  2. A sensitivity to seasonal summer and peak period demands when taking annual leave entitlement
  3. The highest level of commitment to the college
  4. Willingness to undertake further training, staff development and ongoing professional development.

Future prospects

A full time position may be available upon completion of apprenticeship.
