An exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join a friendly Residential Care Home who are looking for an Apprentice Care Assistant who are keen to pursue a career in the Health & Social Care industry and improving the quality of life for our residents.

The Ashley Care Group own and manage three, Norfolk based Care Homes providing 24 hour, around the clock, residential care and specialist dementia care for the people of Norfolk and Suffolk. All three care homes are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Residents enjoy around the clock, quality care in homely, safe and supportive care homes positioned in quiet locations. Teams of dedicated and qualified care home professionals are focused on maintaining a ‘person focused’ quality of life for all residents, which they would not enjoy otherwise.

Detailed Job Description

Alongside the following duties,

  • Full accredited training will be provided for the right candidate:
  • Making beds and keeping the home clean and tidy
  • Following infection control and health & safety policies and procedures
  • Adhering to the Care Quality Commission standards and requirements
  • Assisting carers with delivering personal care to our residents
  • Follow instructions from senior staff
  • Contribute to activities for our residents.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GCSE in English & Maths grade A-C or equivalent desirable but not essential.

Skills required

  • Good level of common sense.
  • Able to follow instructions from others as well as use own initiative.

Personal Qualities

  • Kind
  • caring
  • patient

Future prospects

Good future prospects on completion of apprenticeship.

Training provided

  • Health & Social Care Level 2
  • Functional skills level 1 Maths (if applicable)
  • Functional skills level 1 English (if applicable)

Working hours Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm part time hours available
