Working alongside the trained and established green keeping team to help maintain and develop the standards of the golf course. The maintenance of the golf course will consist of mowing, renovating and construction programmes.
Chigwell golf club is a highly prestigous private members golf club situated in Essex on the outskirts of North London. It is an 18 hole golf course with practice facility. The clubhouse has a bar and restaurant.

This is a full time apprenticeship with onsite training. At the end of the scheme our aim is for the apprentice to become fully qualified and a valuable asset to the club.
The role will be to fit in with the current green keeping team and contributing to a high standard upkeep of the course.You would be working in the greens department as part of an established team. The key characteristics that we are looking for is a positive can do attitude, hard working, reliable and trustworthy. The apprentice would be answerable to the course manager for tasks and duties.

Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship in Green Keeping
Prior to shortlisting your application for any vacancy, your qualifications will be checked. The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is currently £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over, in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
