Working within a team of Maintenance engineers, you will be learning the essential skills to support the continuous running of the machinery to enable constant production in the factory. You will need to be practically minded to be able to diagnose faults and ensure quick and efficient repairs. You will need to be knowledgeable in Health and Safety and be innovative when diagnosing and repairing machines.

Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to expand on current skills and progress within the industry. Day to day duties will include;

  • Carrying out preventative / planned maintenance checks on production equipment
  • Identifying and fixing mechanical faults
  • Basic electrical fault diagnosing
  • Fine adjusting and resetting of plant equipment
  • Calibration
  • Cleaning machinery
  • Aid with the installation of new equipment
  • Updating service records

You will need to be very practically minded who enjoys using their hands and fixing things
  • Level 2 Engineering qualification
  • GCSE at grade C or above in English (Language) and Mathematics
  • You must achieve at least a Level 1 on the college online Initial Assessments in English, Maths and IT.
You will work towards completing the Level 3 (Advanced) Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.

A full time position may be available after completion of the Apprenticeship
