Detailed Job Description

Experience within retailing is not necessary but a desire to learn most definitely is. You will be working as part of a small team ensuring the right quantity and type of stock is in our stores at the right time.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Allocating stock to stores in the right quantities, using our bespoke system
  • Managing stock replenishment to stores using system controls
  • Managing the recalls and redistribution of stock to stores
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the overall business
  • Preparing/maintaining Management reports.
  • Analysing and interpreting stock and sales data on a daily basis.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

  • Minimum Grade B in GCSE maths and English

Skills required

  • Excel skills are an advantage
  • PC literate

Personal Qualities

  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work to weekly deadlines
  • You will enjoy calculating and interpreting numbers
  • Confidence and enthusiasm is a must
  • Very reliable
  • Ability to work accurately

Additional Information

Training provided

As an apprentice, you will complete an industry wide recognised qualification, relative to the role you work within.

This will involve on the job and off the job training within the workplace and supported by a state of the art online virtual learning environment and the support of a Tutor Assessor.

You will receive regular training and be observed whilst you work.

In addition to your daily duties you will also complete theory work and a couple of tests. This may involve a little revision but there is very little you won’t have already learnt on the job.

Throughout your programme you will be supported not only by your line manager but your tutor assessor will support you through your apprenticeship programme, ensuring you are on course with your progression and on track for successful completion.
