Detailed Job Description

Answering phones and directing calls to an appropriate staff member

Filing, printing, photocopying etc

Sorting and distributing incoming post / organising and sending outgoing post

Sending out information to promoters regarding events, event deadlines

Sending out information to players regarding events, accommodation, visa letters etc.

Keeping up to date records on event branding, payments etc.

Liaising with the PSA’s official ball partner to co-ordinate the timely delivery of squash balls to events

Inputting tournament and player data, and ensuring records are kept up to date

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

· 5 GCSES (or equivalent level) at A*-C including English and Maths

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred

Skills required

  • Ability to work efficiently with strong attention to detail
  • Able to organise time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexibly in a busy environment
  • Customer focused approach with excellent communication skills

Personal Qualities

  • A helpful and friendly attitude and demeanour
  • A team player
  • An interest in sport is preferred, but not essential

Future prospects

PSA are a small company which like to recruit and promote from within. For the right candidate there is the potential for a full time position after the apprenticeship.

Additional Information

Training provided

Full on-the-job training and support will be provided to enable the successful applicant to undertake the full range of duties required of the role.In addition, training will also be provided towards the Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 2 through in house delivery.

The Business Administration Level 2 consists of the following:

  • Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration
  • Technical Certificate
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Functional Skills in Literacy and Numeracy and ICT
