Established in 1983, Vanguard Foundry Ltd is a privately owned company specialising in the manufacture of iron castings for the turbo-charging, diesel engine, agricultural and general engineering sector.

To assist in the maintenance and upkeep of mechanical plant. This will include hydraulic and pneumatics, general oiling and greasing. There will be additional plant which requires weld repairs and general upkeep.
The role is electrically biased and will be working on modern systems such as PLC controls and older control electrical panelling.
The successful candidate will be working with high voltage, 3 phase and 415 volts.
Part of the role will be to understand the components used and to help facilitate this the person will be engaged in the preventative maintenance system and stock control/ reorder levels of parts.
Maths & English GCSE C
Progression on to a management position for the right candidate.
The apprentice will follow a Level 3 apprenticeship in Engineering & Manufacturing over a period of 36 - 42 months.
