Description

Working to a set menu, supporting an experienced chef you will be involved in all aspects of food preparation and will be expected to take a full part in;

• preparing attractive menus to nutritional standards

• controlling and ordering stock and inspecting it on delivery

• gutting and preparing animals and fish for cooking

• scraping and washing large quantities of vegetables and salads

• cooking and presenting food creatively

• monitoring production to maintain quality and consistent portion sizes

• working under pressure to make sure food is served on time

• keeping to hygiene, health and safety and licensing

Plus general cleaning duties.

We are looking for an individual with a passion for cooking fresh food who is creative, hardworking, can take instruction and is prepared to learn.

4 GCSE’s at Grades A-D, or equivalent.

Must attain a Level 1 on the initial assessment at College.

NVQ Level 2 Professional CookeryTechnical Certificate

Level 2 in Professional Cookery

Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths

Will lead to a permenant poistion on completion of Apprenticeship.
