Detailed Job Description

  • Communicating with drivers over the phone and face to face
  • Answering customers queries via email and over the phone
  • Using office based IT programs such as Excel and word
  • Working as part of a team to make sure the whole operation runs smoothly
  • To Provide Administrative support daily on tasks such as photocopying and filing documentation

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Minimum grade C in GCSE maths and English (or equivalent)

Skills required

Good IT Skills including knowledge of Microsoft package as well as good written and verbal communication.

Personal Qualities

Confident, outgoing and able to think on their feet. We’d like you to have a hunger for learning new skills and willing to put in the work to achieve them.

Future prospects

Due to the type of Apprenticeship the candidate will obtain knowledge in multiple industries that would help them in the future such as logistics, transport planning and warehouse operations

Additional Information

Training provided

As an apprentice, you will complete an industry wide recognised qualification, relative to the role you work within.

This will involve on the job and off the job training within the workplace and supported by a state of the art online virtual learning environment and the support of a Tutor Assessor.

You will receive regular training and be observed whilst you work.

In addition to your daily duties you will also complete theory work and a couple of tests. This may involve a little revision but there is very little you won’t have already learnt on the job.

Throughout your programme you will be supported not only by your line manager but your tutor assessor will support you through your apprenticeship programme, ensuring you are on course with your progression and on track for successful completion.
