A nursery practitioner plays an important role in assisting in the care and education of young children. You will be planning and organising both fun and educational activities whilst taking care of the children’s personal care requirements.
The baby unit consists of two rooms with nappy changing area, kitchen and sleeping facilities. We can take up to twelve babies in this uni.
Shooting Stars: 2 - 5 yrsThis unit consists of two base rooms. Separate kitchen facilities and toilets. We can take up to thirty children in this age group.

Duties to include:
Planning and supervision of activities like arts and crafts
Reading stories and providing activities to develop language skills
Feeding and changing of babies and young children
Observing children and taking notes to use in reports
Grade C or above in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent)
Consistency, dedication, and the will to achieve
Applicants should have a desire to develop and enhance their child care skills whilst working in a supportive nursery setting. This role is ideal for anybody who has a genuine passion for working with children and that is keen to learn and progress in their own professional development. The successful applicant will be a positive role model and enthusiastic individual.
During the Intermediate Apprenticeship in childcare you will have access to excellent training/development opportunities within the role. With the opportunity to progress on the advanced apprenticeship in childcare. This employer is looking to develop an apprentice, with a view of offering a permanent position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme.
Level 2 NVQ - Your apprenticeship will last for 12 months (depending on the provision in which you are employed). You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship. As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in childcare.
