Detailed Job Description

We are looking to offer a Procurement Apprenticeship at our Bardon Hill Office in Coalville, Leicestershire. Working in close collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders; key responsibilities and deliverables for the role include, but are not limited to

  • supporting the Category Manager with: Managing tendering, contracts and negotiation strategy, in line with Procurement plans; manage the tender/supplier selection/contract award and implementation process ensuring effective communication is maintained throughout.
  • Achieving strong, collaborative, and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Ensuring that department and individual performance targets are achieved through the maintenance of monthly progress reports.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments for all Procurement managed category.
  • Ensuring all key information on Procurement databases are maintained and kept up-to-date at all times.
  • Supply chain management to ensure Purchase to pay KPI’s are achieved.
  • Provide category expertise to the operational divisions to build their annual budgets.

5 GCSE’s A-C Grades including Maths and English

Skills required

We are looking for someone who is highly organised and has the capability to lead and manage multiple projects effectively without compromise to quality. A strong communicator with the ability to communicate via various formats including presentation, email and telephone, at all levels of management. Good written English with competent use in Microsoft Office; experience of Google Drive is desirable but not essential. The individual must have the ability of strong IT skills, primarily in Excel, and with some knowledge and understanding of the industry and customer service delivery.
