Detailed Job Description

An opportunity to become part of the Apprenticeship programme as a Service Advisor. Supported throughout by an employer, this vacancy is for a 15 month apprenticeship that will resulting the successful candidate gaining an Advanced Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts. As a Service Advisor Apprentice you would be involved in a variety of tasks ranging from; · Liaising between the customer and Service Technicians within the garage · Answering the telephone · Giving information · Determine problems and provide technicians with accurate repair descriptions · Greeting Customers · Scheduling appointments · Estimating costs

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GCSEs (or equivalent) grades A-C in MathsEnglish Science Please ensure you list all your qualifications, as lower grades may be considered.

Skills required

No specific skills required, however an interest in motor vehicles/parts would be beneficial.

Keen and enthusiastic Able to work as part of a team Good time keeping

Future prospects

Permanent role may be considered once apprenticeship has been completed

Training provided

This is a Service Advisor Apprenticeship, which will be delivered on block release at the Apprentice Training Centre at Doncaster, S.Yorks. As a result you will receive the following qualification; Level 2 VCQ & VRQ Certificate in Customer Service Functional Skills in English, Maths, ICT (if required)

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by Government. Training for Apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded, with employers expected to make a part or full contribution. Candidates are advised to apply as soon as possible, as the employer will start to interview as soon as applications are received. This may mean the vacancy may close before the date advertised.
