Detailed Job Description

All aspects of office management / administration

Keeping website up to date, live and relevant.

Sourcing and uploading suitable content to include images, stories and links.

Handling technical aspects, including monitoring site performance and amending content.

Creation/improvement of web graphics.

Development and support of social media strategies (in liaison with advertising company).

Managing e-shot campaigns (in liaison with advertising company).

Preparing quarterly newsletters (in liaison with advertising company)

Keeping price lists up to date, as well as prices online and in showroom.

Processing enquiries/quotations/invoices/statements and other enquiries.

General IT maintenance.

Assisting other members of the team with tasks (when required).

20 days holiday per year

8am until 5pm Monday to Friday.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

5-9 GCSE or equivalent English, Maths essential Plus x4 additional (or equivalent)

GCSE’s grade A-C, 4-9 equivalent

A Levels or equivalent desired but not essential.

Skills required

  • Excellent Social Media understanding
  • Knowledge of web content management systems ideally
  • Technical understanding of web technologies
  • Flair for writing and an excellent grasp of English
  • Good standard of typing, spelling and grammar
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop or similar as some camera work will be involved
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel in particular)
  • Process- oriented/follows directions meticulously/able to work to deadlines
  • Professional & Confident Phone Manner

The role is a developing one, and we fully expect further employment prospects once the apprenticeship is completed.

Additional Information

Training provided

The successful candidate will undertake an Advanced Apprenticeship including both on and off the job training.

Training may be carried out by Brockenhurst College at Unit 5 Brock House, Grigg Lane, Brockenhurst, SO42 7RE, as well as the employer premises for some workshops.

An Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration comprises of the following:

  • Business Admin Level 3
  • Functional Skills in English, Maths
  • ERR Certificate

Training will be part of the contracted hours agreed that makes up the working week.
