Detailed Job Description

You will be required to carry out the following:

  • Answering and dealing with incoming telephone calls appropriately
  • Assisting the UK Sales Team with various customer service tasks
  • Sending and receiving completed credit application forms for new customers
  • Inputting sales orders and arranging credit checks for customer’s credit availability
  • Dealing with customer problems and complaints promptly
  • Providing technical data and samples to customers
  • Preparing and following up email campaigns and mailshots
  • Following up on deliveries, especially next day and Saturday deliveries
  • Liaising with transport companies for quotes and arranging client-appropriate transportation and delivery
  • Ensuring that all conversations/correspondence are accurately recorded in the CRM
  • Ensuring that records and paperwork are accurately maintained and correctly filed
  • Creating visual mock-ups for quotes for printed products
  • Liaising with Operations (Planning and Production) for orders
  • Other non-sales related tasks as required for the effective operation of the company

At a later stage, you will be required to carry out the following:

  • Pro-active sales to existing and prospective customers
  • Updating CRM database and prospects
  • Providing and following up offers by using hotlist tasks or opportunities in the CRM system
  • Arranging pictures and information of projects for case studies and editorials
  • Project tracking.

  • Good levels of Mathematics and English

Future prospects

For the right candidate, there is the potential to secure a full time, permanent position within the company, upon completion of the Apprenticeship.

The starting salary is £4.50ph but after 6 months and a satisfactory performance review, this will rise to £5.00ph.

Training provided

Level 2 Apprenticeship in Sales. There will also be the chance to obtain Functional Skills in Mathematics and English if required.
